Royal Canadian Legion Branch #133 Completes $50,000 Pledge

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – Recently, members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #133 stopped by the Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation with their fifth and final installment of $10,000. This donation completes their pledge of $50,000 for the purchase of cardiac care monitors and telemetry units that arrived at NHH in 2016.

The NHH Foundation has always enjoyed generous support from The Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 133 and in fact, over $150,000 has been received since the hospital was built in 2003.

A second donation was also presented in the amount of $8,000 for the purchase of two (2) Low Air Loss Mattresses. This gift was made possible from The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command and Ladies Auxiliary.

“We thank the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #133 for completing their pledge and the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command and Ladies Auxiliary for recognizing the benefits of investing in the future of health care in west Northumberland,” says Blake Jones, Chair of Leadership Gifts for the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
